Ground breaking has taken place for the AK360 Project, a $160MM subterranean expansion of the Buffalo Albright Knox Gundlach Art Museum and the Albright Knox Art Gallery. The parent organization of the Albright–Knox Art Gallery is the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, founded in 1862, one of the oldest public arts institutions in the United States. The project will allow the museum to dramatically increase the number of works of art on display from 250 to 600 and also include a new underground parking structure. CMC was engaged by the construction lender syndicate to perform upfront plan review and cost analysis, monthly site inspections and progress monitoring services.

$20MM Saranac Lodge Resort nearly complete

The new $20MM Saranac Lodge Resort is nearly complete. The resort is situated on Lake Flower Pontiac Bay in Saranac Lake, NY and contains 93 luxury guest rooms, banquet hall, restaurant and spa. Work continues on the $30MM redevelopment of the former Sears store and the Irondequoit Mall in Rochester, NY. The new Skyview Apartments will consist of 2 structures and 160,000sf containing a total of 157 senior apartment units. CMC was engaged by the construction lender and equity investor to perform upfront plan review and cost analysis, as well as monthly project inspections and progress reporting services.

$22M Renovation to begin on Merrell-Soule Building

Renovation work will be underway shortly on the 50,000 SF Merrell-Soule Building located in the Franklin Square park area of Syracuse, New York. The $22M reuse project, which will be funded with a combination of debt and historic tax credits (HTC) will provide 44 apartments, office and retail space. CMC has been retained by the construction lender and the tax credit equity investor to perform an upfront plan review and cost analysis, as well as ongoing site inspections and construction progress monitoring services.

Construction has commenced on a new build $50 Million production/warehouse/logistics facility for international specialty food distributor Rosina Foods. The 110,000SF project located in West Seneca, NY will include office, manufacturing, packing, dry storage and transport/loading dock areas. The project will bring additional affordable housing to the downtown core of Buffalo, with all 200 units available at 50-80% AMI.
