BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• College Degree in construction management, architecture, construction engineering and/or other related field, as appropriate.
• Previous project management experience preferred.
• Project site experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of PC environment and related software including Microsoft Office applications and construction related platforms.
PROFESSIONAL SKILL SET
- Knowledge of construction principles, procedures and site safety.
- Experience with plan, cost and spec review process.
- Ability to determine completeness of project documents; review details for constructability.
- Knowledge of project progress and schedule monitoring.
- Knowledge of contractor payment application documentation and process.
- Experience with participating in project meetings with clients, owner, contractors/trades, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the client, owner, superintendent and team members as required.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, with an understanding of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, as well as ability to identify/anticipate missing information.
- Able to evaluate costs, quantities and labor hours.
- Knowledge of various building systems, construction means and methods.
- Understanding of construction contract documentation.
