Ground breaking has taken place for the AK360 Project, a $160MM subterranean expansion of the Buffalo Albright Knox Gundlach Art Museum and the Albright Knox Art Gallery. The parent organization of the Albright–Knox Art Gallery is the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, founded in 1862, one of the oldest public arts institutions in the United States. The project will allow the museum to dramatically increase the number of works of art on display from 250 to 600 and also include a new underground parking structure. CMC was engaged by the construction lender syndicate to perform upfront plan review and cost analysis, monthly site inspections and progress monitoring services.
